Julian’s in Hoylake is a restaurant where it’s all about the food – not where you decide to eat it.
If you’re looking for an evening out, you’ll love our small but intimate restaurant in the centre of Hoylake.
We have lots of room between our tables so you won’t ever feel as if you’re sharing your evening with our other guests.
But if you just want to tuck into some of our legendary food at home, our takeaway service will be right up your street.

meet the team
We’re an independent family business you can really trust.
Julian’s is run by husband-and-wife team Julian and Jackie Davies. Julian takes care of all the cooking while Jackie looks after all our fantastic customers as front-of-house manager.
Julian first worked in a kitchen at the Bake House in Ruthin as a schoolboy.
At 18 he joined the four star Chester Grosvenor Hotel where he worked for 14 years, catering for various Royal Weddings on his way to being made Sous Chef.
Jackie and Julian have owned Julian’s since 2004.

What we’re famous for
Chateaubriand
A feast to behold! Our chateaubriand serves two and is grilled to perfection and served with Béarnaise sauce, sautéed mushrooms, grilled tomato, beer-battered onion rings and chips
Tuesday wine night
Enjoy two courses from our fabulous Table d’Hôte menu for just £18.50 per person – including a bottle of house red, house white or house rosé wine for each couple dining. Not available in December.
Fish of the day
Our fish comes straight from the boat directly to your plate – after being cooked to perfection by Julian! It’s all locally sourced, with our fishmonger giving us a daily update of that morning’s best catch.
Soup
Julian is famous throughout Wirral for his delicious soups, and our soup du jour changes daily. Two things don’t change, though – it’s always tasty and always served with freshly baked bread.
